MG produced this as a Left-Hand drive TD with Export to North America specifications (EXLNA), on 31 March, 1953. The Vessel ledgers show that Arnolt convertible 271 was shipped on the SS Kollbrynn, arriving in Chicago via the Great Lakes on October 13, 1953, with Arnolt convertibles 256, 259, 262, 265 and 268, and coupes 258, 260, 261, 263 and 264. The original purchaser was Hansen-MacPhee Eng. (Hansen-MacPhee Sales Corp, Brookline, MA., a VW dealer?), delivered on 26 March, 1954, invoice 1443. Car featured in Vintage Motorsport Nov/Dec 2017, pp. 76-81. Incorrect running lights, bumpers, and red painted steering wheel hub.
