MG produced this as a "Chassis Only" Left-Hand drive TD with Export to North America specifications (EXLNA), on 20 April, 1953. The Vessel ledgers show that Arnolt coupe 290 was shipped on the SS Francesco Morosini with Arnolt coupes 287 and 288, and convertibles 286 and 295, and was received in New Orleans on 11 December, 1953. The purchaser was Continental Motors, Houston, Texas on 3 January, 1955, invoice 1846.
